Marie Adele Summers
Company and Creative Director
At the age of 4 years my love for show business and everything musical began. After training at The Harrison School of Dance in my native North East I was given the opportunity to join a children’s touring production called the ‘Busy Bees’ and so my love for everything theatre began.
My first professional engagement came at the age of twelve in ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ with the legendary ‘carry on star’ Charles Hawtry. This was followed by a tour with the Bobby Bennet Show (the host of TV’s Junior Showtime).
In 1982 my full time professional career began as part of a three part vocal harmony group but soon decided to become a solo artiste after appearing on the TV show ‘Opportunity Knocks’. This led to my move to London and Caesars Palace supporting such artistes as Cliff Richard, Shirley Bassey, Dionne Warwick to name but a few.
Opportunity knocked again and I found myself in the West End, Drury Lane atThe Talk Of London as principal lead vocalist.
After several years of performing my own cabaret show all over Europe and India, I was ready for a change of direction. An offer to work with choreographers Peter Gordon and Alan Harding came my way and I joined Chandris Celebrity Cruise Lines and so my love of the sea began. It was the beginning of a 15 year adventure working on board Fred Olsen, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean and Saga Cruise lines. It’s a love of the sea and everything theatre that continues to this day.
Coming from a strong performance background, working with some amazing choreographers and celebrity artists has given me insight to what makes a show and performance relatable to an audience.
I understand my team and what they go through everyday as I have been there myself. I love nothing more than to advise, support and mentor those who join Timeless Entertainment. Nothing pleases me more than to see our performers progress, grow and learn and to reach out and connect with an audience.
