Operations Manager – Cruise Division
Training & Development
I studied business and marketing to HNC level.
Over the years I have been fortunate to gain experience in a wide variety of industries.
As well as having performed myself I also qualified as a Fitness Instructor. The combination of these abilities became very useful as I embarked on my career at sea – developing daytime activities and advancing to the position of Social Host, Daytime Entertainment Manager and eventually Assistant Cruise Director (working for Carnival Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and Airtours Sun Cruises).
The experience I gained during my time on board has enabled me to develop successful and engaging entertainment programmes and productive connections with on board franchise managers to support their revenue generation. It also gave me the understanding of what is required of a show team, hosts and hostesses when dealing with guests and audience members.
On my return to the Uk I became Entertainment Manager at Warner Leisure Hotels 4 star Nidd Hall Hotel (creating and performing shows, auditioning and training my team), brought in new activities managing, producing and raising the hotel ratings to be leader in their chain of hotels). Striving to improve and meet the clients expectations is a challenge I love to take on and achieve.
I have been fortunate to have a varied career – I performed in many UK shows, solo cabarets, pantomimes, corporate events and theatre tours.
I have been an integral part of the Timeless journey, performing in shows, auditioning performers and managing the in-house training.
I continue to develop new ideas and liaise with theatres and cruise lines to promote marketing and revenue generation.
Our Timeless team have been on many adventures together and I look forward to the new challenges and opportunities that are ahead for us all.
